On The Grind

I work on the Marina in Downtown San Francisco. So I commute on the daily. My mornings usually start at 545 a.m and end at 445 p.m. Studies show that you see more of your co-workers than you see your wife, kids, parents, family. If you work a regular 40 hour week, In one year you would have worked around 2300 hours. If you compare the same hours you spend with your family, there will be no comparison. It's just funny when you look at things in that perspective.

Now on to the subject of making money. We all strive to make the american dream happen. We all wish that we had all the money in the world. Some of us dream of winning the lotto? Some of us dream of hitting the big jackpot? But in my eyes, I only dream of making myself happy. It's funny how people have to flaunt what they have, or show off what's on their feet or hip. I guess it's to assure that they are excepted in society. Don't get me wrong, I love all the finer things in life too, but there's a limit to everything. The older I got, the more I began to realize that there is more to life than to show off what you have. In my opinion, I think it's better for people to envy you without trying to show off. Like personality, swagger, your style and step. It's better to have a few expensive items than to have multiple mediocre items. Us today as a society is beginning to believe that it's important to make a lot of money and own the larger than life house, drive the fanciest car, and have that Steve Jobbs, Hugh Heffner job. We all need to stop looking at what we don't have, and appreciate the things that we do have. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we all have one life and one life only. We all live only once, live with no regrets, and live like there's no tomorrow."Bless"
